In 1994, Cheng Liang Chye decided to leave his job at Service Quality Centre Pte Ltd to work at his father's rock sugar manufactacturing company. That's when he decided to make making quality products his ambition. And it's what propels the start of a B2B food business - SMC Food 21 Pte. Ltd.

We Try To Do What We Can For Children

Some children, in places all over the world, are not blessed with the fortune of growing up with potable milk. Mr. Cheng, SMC Food 21 Managing Director, used to have to queue for government-issued milk because his family was too poor to afford. Now, he tries to give back to the society by providing free milk powder to underprivileged children in Batam, Indonesia. SMC Food 21 is also working hand-in-hand with governments globally to feed poor children high-quality milk powder at a much, much affordable price.
